Youth and Women Economic Empowerment

The programme focuses on empowering youths to overcome the effects of unemployment and income insecurity on their lives. This is achieved through basic life-skills training, technical skills training, business and entrepreneurship skills training on key youth-led enterprises socially acceptable and economically acceptable notably include: Poultry production; Piggery production; Horticultural production; Soap making; Fabrication of Improved Cooking Stoves and Rice production

Besides this, youths are supported to form/strengthen Youth Saving and Lending Associations (YSLAs) and are provided with start-up kits/procurement and logistics costs to proactively engage in viable IGAs.
In addition, the programme focuses on empowering women to overcome the effects of women exploitation, unemployment and income insecurity on their lives. This is achieved through technical skills training, business and entrepreneurship skills training on key women-led enterprises socially acceptable and economically acceptable notably include: Poultry production; Piggery production; Horticultural production; Soap making; Fabrication of Improved Cooking Stoves and Rice production.

Besides this, women are supported to form/strengthen Women Saving and Lending Associations (WSLAs) and are supported with start-up kits/procurement and logistics costs for women- led enterprises.
ELPP through its Business Model, conducts business training programmes to women and youths entrepreneurs in entrepreneurship and Business Development Services (BDS). The Programme provides a step-by-step technical assistance to existing, potential, and established business owners and managers who want to run their business profitably and improve their productivity. Training to youth/young men and women puts emphasis on how to generate business ideas, start the business, improve the business and expand the business in order to create more quality jobs and to generate more income for youths in Tanzania. The training topics on business development include but not limited to: Buying, Marketing, Stock control, Costing, Business Recording keeping, financial management, Business planning, management, improvement and expansion concepts and practices.

Aidha, kitaelezea kuhusu vyombo /mfumo wa kutoa taarifa za ukatili wa kijinsia dhidi ya wanawake na watoto.
